Cocosul de Hurez - The Folk Pottery Fair
Cocosul de Hurez is the most important folk pottery fair in Romania and one of the most representative cultural events of Oltenia. Organized annually in the city of Horezu, the event brings together ceramist craftsmen from all over the country, promoting one of the most valuable Romanian traditions, included in UNESCO's intangible cultural heritage.
Visitors have the opportunity to discover the process of making Horezu pottery, admire handmade objects and interact directly with the artisans who keep this cultural heritage alive. In addition to pottery exhibitions, the event includes folk performances, traditional products and cultural activities that transform the fair into an authentic experience for the whole family.
